Have you seen a Spotted Lanternfly?
Spotted lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect that has spread throughout Pennsylvania since its discovery in Berks County in 2014. SLF feeds on the plant sap of many different plants including grapevines, maples, black walnut, and other important plants in PA. If you see SLF, you can report your sighting to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture using the Penn State Extension website at https://extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly or by calling Penn State Extension at 888-4BADFLY (888-422-3359). Your discovery is important and could help efforts to reduce the insect’s further spread.
